Praying for Hope!

What an amazing day!!!  We started our day returning to CIPI.  This time things were calmer.  The team split up.  Some of us helped with school while others loved on babies, teen moms, teen girls, and the little boys.  We ended our morning with our Bible story and prayers.  It was a great start to the day.  One of our team members, Laura, explained how nice it was to spend more time at CIPI with the same kids.  The kids were sooooo excited that we had returned!
!

We headed out to lunch at the States Diner.  It was overwhelming for me to see this amazing diner!!  The States Diner was a God dream that the Ackermanns (the missionaries) talked about for years.  They wanted to help kids aging out of the orphanages.  They now have transition homes for these kids where they go to school, work, attend Bible studies, and are mentored.  The States Diner provides jobs for them.  The staff (these kids) were amazing!!  They were professional and pleasant.  How cool is it that God made the Ackermanns dream come true!!

Finally, we ended our day at Magana.  This is a boys orphanage in Ahuachapan, close to the Guatemalan border.  We played soccer and basketball with the boys, and had so much fun!!  The boys were loving, respectful, kind, and very thankful.  Right now this orphanage will only take boys up to 14 years old.  There are two boys that are "aging out" of this orphanage.  They are asking Kurt (the missionary) to take the boys into a "pre" transition home.  This would be such an amazing opportunity for these boys rather than being thrown into one of the other government centers.  One of the boys is 14 and has two younger siblings that are being adopted.  The other boy is 13.  Please please please be in prayer for these amazing boys.

By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News. (Ephesians 3:7)
